1999-08-09 - 2:25 p.m.

I am back in Kaedi and am still healthy and in good spirits. I was sick for one day and will try to write about it in my journal. I’ve only lost 5 pounds which is great compared to 2 guys in our group who have lost more than 20.

I apologize to family (mom and dad) for not writing e-mail, but hotmail is not functioning in the café.

I have a set of journal entries I kept while at site I will try to post them.
